Cayde at a glance
Cayde Accounting & Tax works virtually with Florida C corporations, S corporations and LLCs taxed as corporations that are one to five or more years behind. It rebuilds the books and gets the agreed overdue Form 1120 or 1120-S and Florida filings done; afterwards, optional monthly bookkeeping keeps the books current. Independent U.S. tax professionals review, sign and file the returns. Catch-up projects start at US$2,500 per outstanding year, with a fixed quote in writing first; monthly bookkeeping starts at US$349 a month. The first step is a free 15-minute call.

Is this you?
-
Our S corporation return (1120-S) hasn’t been filed since the election.
-
The IRS or the Florida Department of Revenue sent a letter.
-
A lender wants business returns we haven’t filed.
-
Sunbiz shows the company as inactive or dissolved.
-
We stopped filing Florida sales tax.
-
Our bookkeeper left and the books stopped.
However far behind, it’s the same job: rebuild the books, get the returns filed in the right order, and keep it current afterwards if you choose.
What does a catch-up include?
The books and the business tax return for each outstanding year. One engagement, not three vendors: anything else that’s behind is added to the same written quote, so one team coordinates the work.
What’s included, per outstanding year
- The books rebuilt for one 12-month business year, in QuickBooks Online or Xero
- The accounts identified in your proposal reconciled
- A year-end profit and loss statement and balance sheet
- One federal corporate return, Form 1120 or 1120-S (up to two shareholder K-1s in the simple entry package)
- The Florida corporate income tax return (F-1120), where it’s required and included in the agreed scope. Not every S corporation needs one.
Added to the same written quote when they’re behind too
- Payroll records rebuilt, and overdue payroll returns
- W-2 and 1099 preparation or corrections
- Overdue Florida sales tax returns, and the records behind them
- Owners’ personal returns
- Other states or entities
- Complex inventory, payment-processor or shareholder-account records
- Sunbiz annual reports, or help with reinstatement
- Substantive replies to notices, and arranging professional representation when it’s needed
If payroll, sales tax or other filings are also behind, we’ll include the agreed work in your written quote.
Not offered: audits, reviews or other attest work; businesses that file only on a personal return; tax-debt settlement or collection defense.
Two steps · the second is optional · all prices in U.S. dollars
What does a Florida catch-up cost?
Step 1 · Catch-up bookkeeping + business tax filing
From US$2,500 per outstanding year
A starting guide for one company and one year. Your fixed quote depends on transaction volume, accounts, record condition and the filings needed.
Each outstanding year includes the books, the year-end statements and the business tax return listed above.
If payroll, sales tax or other filings are also behind, we’ll include the agreed work in your written quote.
Step 2 · Optional: stay caught up
From US$349 a month
Monthly bookkeeping in three plans: Essential from US$349, Growth from US$499 and Established from US$749 a month, sized by your monthly transactions and accounts. No contract; cancel any time.
Annual business tax preparation is quoted separately. We confirm the fee and included returns in writing. Compare the monthly plans
- Written scope and fixed quote before work begins
- No obligation after the free call
- Nothing is filed without your signature
Taxes, penalties, interest and government fees (such as Sunbiz fees) are separate: your company pays them directly. All prices in U.S. dollars. Prices as of September 30, 2026.
Payment and timing
Payment terms are in your proposal. Nothing is charged before you approve it. Timing depends mostly on how many years are behind and how quickly the records come in. Anything with a deadline, such as the reply date on a letter or a lender’s closing date, is scheduled first, and your proposal sets out the timeline for your file before you approve anything.
What does waiting cost?
Most late-filing penalties are charged for each month a return is late, so the amount depends on how long it stays unfiled. Here’s how each one is calculated.
S corporation (Form 1120-S)
$255 per shareholder for each month or part of a month late, up to 12 months, for a return required to be filed in 2026 ($260 for returns due in 2027; older years use lower amounts), even when no tax is owed.
Worked example
$255 × 2 shareholders × 12 months = $6,120
For one S corporation return due in 2026, filed 12 or more months late.
C corporation (Form 1120)
5% of the unpaid tax for each month or part of a month late, up to 25%. More than 60 days late, the minimum is $525 or the tax due, whichever is less (returns due in 2026). In a month when the late-filing and late-payment penalties both apply, the combined charge is 5%.
Florida corporate income tax (F-1120)
10% of any unpaid tax for each month or part of a month late, up to 50%. With no tax due, $50 a month, up to $300.
Florida sales tax (DR-15)
Each late return can carry a penalty of 10% of the tax, at least $50 even when no tax is due, plus interest on unpaid tax.
Florida annual report
Corporations and LLCs pay a $400 late fee after May 1. A company that still hasn’t filed by the third Friday of September is administratively dissolved.
Filing stops the late-filing penalty from growing. The late-payment penalty and interest keep running until the balance is paid in full, even on a payment plan.

How does a catch-up work, start to finish?
In four stages: a free 15-minute call, a written scope and fixed quote, the catch-up and filings, then optional monthly bookkeeping so it doesn’t happen again.
-
Free 15-minute call
You tell us what’s outstanding and what the IRS or the state has sent; we explain how we’d get you caught up and keep you there. There’s no obligation to hire us afterwards.
-
Written scope and fixed quote
The work for each outstanding year, the price, payment terms, the records we’ll need and a timeline. Nothing starts, and nothing is charged, until you approve it.
-
Catch up and file
Anything with a deadline goes first. Then the books and returns are done oldest year first, because each year’s closing balances feed the next. Nothing is filed until you approve and sign it.
-
Stay caught up, if you choose
Optional monthly bookkeeping from US$349 a month, with the same team that caught you up. Annual business tax preparation is quoted separately. We confirm the fee and included returns in writing.

Who does the work, and who signs your returns?
The Cayde team
Rebuilds and reconciles the books, prepares the workpapers and runs the process from first call to final filing.
Independent U.S. tax professionals
Your federal and Florida business returns are reviewed, signed and filed by independent U.S. tax professionals after you approve them: e-filed wherever the IRS accepts it, and on paper for older years. Their name and IRS preparer tax ID (PTIN) appear on every return they sign. You sign each return, or its e-file authorization, before it’s filed.
If your company needs a professional to represent it before the IRS, that’s the job of an attorney, a CPA or an enrolled agent. We’ll tell you on the call if your situation needs one and arrange it; it may be a separate engagement.

How much does Cayde charge to catch up a Florida S corporation that’s one year behind?
From US$2,500 per outstanding year for the simple entry case: one Form 1120-S, with up to two shareholder K-1s. The lowest starting price fits a simple, low-volume active company: under US$100,000 in annual revenue, up to 50 bank and card transactions a month on average, up to two bank or card accounts, statements available, and no substantial payroll, sales-tax or inventory reconstruction. Beyond that, the starting guide gives a starting price by that year’s own revenue, and your fixed quote, in writing after the free call and before any work begins, depends on transaction volume, accounts, record condition and the filings needed. Taxes, penalties, interest and government fees (such as Sunbiz fees) are separate: your company pays them directly. All prices are in U.S. dollars.
What if the business is three to five years behind?
It’s a bigger project, but the same one. Anything with a deadline goes first; then the books and returns are done oldest year first, because each year’s closing balances feed the next. Each outstanding year is priced on its own revenue and activity, and your free call and written quote confirm each year individually.
Does Cayde file late Form 1120 and 1120-S returns?
Yes. Each outstanding year of a catch-up includes the books rebuilt for that year and its Form 1120 or 1120-S, plus the Florida F-1120 where it’s required and in the agreed scope. Your federal and Florida business returns are reviewed, signed and filed by independent U.S. tax professionals after you approve them: e-filed wherever the IRS accepts it, and on paper for older years. Their name and IRS preparer tax ID (PTIN) appear on every return they sign.
Do LLCs qualify?
Yes, if the LLC is taxed as a corporation: one that elected S corporation status files Form 1120-S, and one taxed as a C corporation files Form 1120. A business that files only on the owner’s personal return (Schedule C) isn’t a fit. Not sure how yours is taxed? Choose “Not sure how it’s taxed” on the form.

Is Cayde a CPA firm?
No. Cayde Accounting & Tax is a bookkeeping and tax firm; in Florida, bookkeeping and tax return preparation don’t require a CPA license. Cayde doesn’t do audits, reviews or other attest work, and refers anyone who needs one to a CPA firm.
How long does a catch-up take?
Timing depends mostly on how many years are behind and how quickly the records come in. Anything with a deadline, such as the reply date on a letter or a lender’s closing date, is scheduled first, and your proposal sets out the timeline for your file before you approve anything.
Do I need every receipt?
No. Bank and card statements for the open years are enough to start, and most books are rebuilt from them. Missing receipts are common and usually workable; you’ll get an honest view of what can be supported and what can’t.
How does a virtual catch-up work?
A catch-up runs on records, not office visits. Cayde works virtually with corporations across Florida by phone, video and secure file sharing, Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eastern, and bills in U.S. dollars. Your U.S. returns are signed by independent U.S. tax professionals.
What does monthly bookkeeping cost?
It’s optional, and there are three plans for current books and ordinary activity: Essential from US$349, Growth from US$499 and Established from US$749 a month, depending on your monthly transactions and accounts. Above those limits, or for materially complex books, it’s a custom quote. All prices are in U.S. dollars.
No contract; cancel any time. Your company pays for its own QuickBooks Online or Xero subscription, so the file stays in your company’s name. Annual business tax preparation is quoted separately. We confirm the fee and included returns in writing. Compare the monthly plans.
What if the IRS needs someone to represent the company?
If your company needs a professional to represent it before the IRS, that’s the job of an attorney, a CPA or an enrolled agent. We’ll tell you on the call if your situation needs one and arrange it; it may be a separate engagement. Penalty relief can be requested by you or an authorized representative; first-time abatement usually covers one year and needs a clean prior three years. For 2025 and later returns, the IRS applies similar relief automatically when the prior three years were filed and paid on time.
Does Cayde do personal returns?
Only alongside a corporate catch-up, added to the same written quote, because your personal returns are tied to the company’s through salary, distributions and money moved between you and the company.
Which Florida filings can a catch-up cover?
Each year’s catch-up covers the Florida corporate income tax return (F-1120) where it’s required and included in the agreed scope. Sales tax, reemployment tax and Sunbiz annual reports are added to the same written quote when they’re behind too. Each has its own rules, deadlines and penalties.
