Already behind?
Monthly bookkeeping starts from a clean slate.
If the books are months or years behind, a catch-up comes first. The catch-up clears the backlog, and monthly bookkeeping picks up from there.
Catch-up & clean-upHow it works
Set up or take over your file
We work in your existing QuickBooks Online or Xero file, or set up a new one properly, and connect your bank and card feeds.
Close every month
Transactions are categorized, every account is reconciled, and your monthly statements are prepared.
Stay ahead of deadlines
GST/HST is filed on schedule, and your year-end starts from books that already balance.
Bookkeeping questions
Related guides
Which software do you use?
QuickBooks Online and Xero. Cayde is certified in both, and the subscription is included in the monthly plan.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Bookkeeping is month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days’ notice.
What does it cost?
It’s quoted to fit your transaction volume and the number of accounts. Ask on your free assessment, or see pricing for what’s included.
Does a corporation need its own bank account?
It should have one. A corporation is a separate legal person, and running personal and business spending through the same account makes the books slower to keep and the shareholder loan harder to track.
How long do we have to keep our records?
Generally six years from the end of the last tax year they relate to. If a return is filed late, keep its records for six years from the date it’s filed. Some records, such as the corporation’s minute book and share register, have to be kept much longer.
