Brian Catibog founded Cayde after nearly twenty years in accounting and tax. A graduate of the I.H. Asper School of Business at the University of Manitoba, Brian earned the Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, which became the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation when Canada’s accounting professions unified. Brian held it for ten years, then resigned it to focus entirely on catch-up and clean-up work.

Brian founded Kaler Catibog Chartered Professional Accountants in Winnipeg, advising start-ups, contractors, professionals and international corporations, and later sold the firm.

Brian also worked inside a business, as VP Finance at Smack Pet Food Inc., which sells its products globally. There, Brian helped the company expand into the United States and worked on its SR&ED tax credit claims and various grant programs.

Cayde is built for catch-up, clean-up and bookkeeping work: getting corporations caught up with CRA, and keeping them there, as a virtual firm that’s quick to respond and easy to work with from anywhere in Canada. Brian leads the firm and a team trained in the same work.

Catching up means sharing years of statements, payroll records and CRA letters. Here’s how access works.

Your books stay in your software

We work in your QuickBooks Online or Xero file as an invited user, and you can remove that access at any time.

CRA access you can see

You authorize us through CRA’s Represent a Client service, so there’s no need to share your CRA login. You can view or cancel the authorization at any time.

Agreed in writing first

Scope, price, terms and timeline are set out in a written proposal. No work begins until you approve it.

Client files stored in Canada

The documents you send us, from bank statements to CRA letters, are stored in Canada. Our privacy policy covers the rest.

Certified in QuickBooks Online and Xero, so we can work directly in the books you already have or set up new ones properly. Cayde holds Elite tier status in the QuickBooks ProAdvisor program and is a Xero Silver partner.
